Orange County Fair: Demolition Derby
Written by John Alvarez

Every year the Orange County Fair has events that go above and beyond a normal typical fair. I am not talking about the stellar lineup at the Pacific Amphitheatre, but rather the lineup at the Action Sports Arena.

This year’s show wasn’t all about fun and games though, it was also about charity. Bens Asphalt donated an Oldsmobile station wagon which was raffled off to the highest bidder. The bid however would be a donation to Orangewood Children’s home in Santa Ana, CA. Bidding stated at 1,000 with some 9 people and quickly grew to 2500 with only 2 people left and then finally ended at 2750 to winning bidder Ben Newfield – whom, even after winning the auction for 2750 – evened it out at 3,000 for the better of Orangewood.

The show was all out fun chaos, nothing that a review could do justice – so here are pictures instead!

The winner in the end? #8, Erik Dibens
